NYFW SPRING 2014
Deborah created a nail look that was modern, active and fresh. This tied in perfectly with the overall runway look with a theme on health and well-being using bright hues to symbolize the bright bottles of zinc sun protectant that was popular in the 80’s. A custom hue was created on a last-minute request for an ecru nail – a slightly cool white with a hint of gray – for the nail to represent the zinc sun protectant. Deborah blended two existing shades – three parts of Amazing Grace (pure white crème) and one part of Waking Up In Vegas (putty-liscious gray crème). Deborah dubbed this creation “Dirty Little Secret,” a spur-of-the-moment song title that she came up with when put on the spot backstage.
The pedicured toes represented the vibrant zinc bottles, with two coats of Big Blue Note (a cobalt blue from our Big Bang 2013 holiday set launching in October 2013). Both finger and toe nails were prepped with Gel Lab Base Coat and finished with Gel Lab Top Coat.
